Last Chance for La Paz!

We’re leaving for Borneo on September 12th and won’t return till September 27th. Ten days later we depart for La Paz. So we need to wrap up our La Paz trip before we go to Borneo.

The price of gas has gone down and so have airfares. We know that’s the only thing holding you back from joining us. Because our annual Fall La Paz trip is always fantastic! Where else could you go for a long weekend and swim with whale sharks and dive with schools of barracuda and tickle sea lions? Where else could you go to explore wrecks in 85-degree water and play with octopi and photograph three different kinds of morays all on one dive?

Now about the airfare….Nonstop from LAX to La Paz on Alaska Airlines is $648 plus tax. On AeroMexico, from LAX with one stop, the cost is $262 plus tax. You can also opt to fly on a number of carriers to Los Cabos, such as United, American, and Mexicana. Nonstop from LAX, the cost to date is $238 plus tax.

Our host in La Paz, the Cortez Club, can arrange car service from Cabo to La Paz. The cost is $88 per person roundtrip for a party of six. For four passengers, the cost would be $132 per person roundtrip. Or you can rent a car and enjoy a scenic drive, about three hours, unless you stop for tamales along the way. . .

Our Basic Package is for 5 nights, 3 days of diving. We can customize your trip. You can stay longer and dive more. You can arrive on the 8th, the same day we arrive, or earlier or later. Just let us know what suits your schedule and we’ll make it work.

Update! LCD Optical Magnifier
Now you can see!

Last issue of our newsletter, we introduced the LCD Optical Magnifier. Improvements have been made to the original design and we are proud to announce that it is now ready for you!

The LCD Optical Magnifier has been designed specifically for use with Sea & Sea point-and-shoot underwater digital camera systems, models DX-5000, DX-8000, and DX1G. It is also compatible with other compact underwater camera systems made by other manufacturers. Modifications may be required. Customization is available.

The primary function of the Magnifier is to enhance viewing and reduce glare on the LCD screen of compact underwater camera systems. It has been designed and engineered by underwater photographers for underwater photographers.

  1. It will adjust to the proper distance to ensure the LCD screen is magnified and in sharp focus.  With increased magnification, the symbols/icons on the screen are easy to read.  Glare and reflected light are reduced and the ability to compose the shot is increased several fold.
  2. The Magnifier can be adjusted to serve as a magnifying glass t better view gauges and small sea creatures. The Magnifier must be repositioned from the LCD to the side. The view in the LCD of symbols/icons and picture area will no longer be magnified.
